North of Vietnam – Visiting Vietnam’s northern most province of Cao Bang will offer you some of the most striking sceneries. Other highlights of the tour include the home-stay in Ba Be National Park and kayaking on Ba Be Lake, the experiences that you should never miss. Then, you will have chance to admire the beauty of Halong Bay, a World Heritage, it’s time to release yourself into the nature.
Meet at your hotel’s lobby. You will depart early in the morning for the journey to the forest of Ba Be National Park in North of Vietnam, a drive of approximately 150 miles (230 kilometers). Along the way you will stop to visit a Tay minority community, the second largest ethnic group in Vietnam after the Viets, mostly living off the cultivation of rice. At the home-stay you can relax and unwind from the day and enjoy a meal of home cooked local food.

Activities: Full day transfer by car to Ba Be lake. In the late afternoon head out for a bit of exploration before the sunsets Distance: Hanoi – Ba Be: 230 km/ 6 hour driving
Time to explore Ba Be National Park for a boat ride along the Nang River, with time to explore the stunning Ba Be lake, the caves of Puong Cave and the legendary Widow Island. You will also visit the stilt houses of the Tay community in Coc Toc Village in North of Vietnam.

Activities: Cruise on the lake with a short trek to a Pac Ngoi village, Dau Dang waterfall, Puong Cave and more cruising along the Nang River.
After breakfast, you will set off to the province of Cao Bang, close to Vietnam’s northern border with China. Here you will be introduced to the Nung people in the village of Phuoc Sen, a small village famous for the production of farming tools. Like the Tays, the Nungs largely live by farming the terraced rice paddies that you will see all around as you journey North of Vietnam.

Depart for Ban Gioc Waterfall (3 hour drive), the breathtakingly majestic falls that demarcate the border between Vietnam and China. There will be time enjoy the view and soak up sublime atmosphere of Vietnam’s most beautiful waterfall before making your way to the Nguom Ngao (“Tiger Cave”) known for its wonderful limestone formations..

Activities: Depart for Ban Gioc waterfall (3 hour drive) which forms a natural border between Vietnam and China
After a night in hotel in Cao Bang, you will depart for your transfer south to Hanoi. It is a journey through vertiginous rice paddies and remote villages. You will get the chance to stop at an ethnic village known for its rice production. This is the road less traveled in Vietnam, offering the chance to enjoy some peace and tranquility. There will be a stop for lunch before returning to your hotel in the bustling city of Hanoi.

Halong Bay is listed by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage and voted as a Wonder of Nature by the New 7 Wonders Foundation. You will have a night staying in this world famous bay. Be ready for pick-up at your hotel lobby at 08:00 hours. Halfway to Halong City we will have a stop at Hong Ngoc Humanitarian Centre. Upon arrival at the pier, embark on the boat and set sail on a cruise through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Halong Bay. Lunch is served as you cruise by impressive rock formations with unusual names and shapes. In the afternoon you will start to discover Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage of outstanding natural beauty, known in Vietnamese as “Dragon descending to the sea“. Depending on each cruise’s itinerary of the day, you may visit a beautiful cave, have some swimming at Titov or Soi Sim beach. Kayaking is available at a surcharge

Activities: Transfer to Halong bay Embark on board cruise in Halong bay. Overnight on board
Wake up the next morning at sunrise, you are invited to practice Tai Chi on the sun deck. Enjoy the feel of the early morning salt water scent and bask in the early sun rising from behind the mountains. Arriving at the pier, you will be picked up for transfer back to Hanoi. Accommodation at hotel in Hanoi is at your owned arrangment
